Special to La Prensa – H-E-B announced, Thursday, that it had issued a tiffany and co precautionary recall of Looney Toons candy bracelet/watches sold in stores. The candy watch/bracelet may contain foreign metal after a check of one sample by H-E-B’s Quality Assurance Lab.
According to Winell Herron, H-E-B Group vice-president of Public Affairs and Diversity, there have been no reports of illnesses or injuries, however, the company is taking all necessary precautions.
“We are committed to absolute and complete food safety,”said Herron. “As a silver earrings result of this commitment, we have made the decision to pull the product from our shelves immediately.”
The product has already been removed. In addition, the product has been blocked in H-E-B’s computer system to ensure none is sold at the register. H-E-B is also working closely with the product’s manufacturer to resolve this issue.
The grocery chain is also is encouraging anyone who purchased the product to silver key rings return it to their nearest H-E-B store for a full refund. Customers with any questions or concerns can contact H-E-B Customer Service at 1-800-432-3113.
